Rescued September 2025

Lightning, thunder, big gusts of wind, and trees swaying to and fro, this tiny little Storm made his presence known…with a meow.

Wilamina was outside, securing things in the yard before the mountain storm grew, talking to George as she worked. George would answer back with his sweet meow.
Then they both heard another “Meow!”

George, then an echo, again and again.

Hidden in the various crates and trunks, tucked out of nature’s demise, came this tiny black kitten with its tiny little “Meow!”
It would not come to Wilamina, so she got a trap and waited.

After a few hours of resetting the Momma Meow recording, and soaked all the way to her skin, as the storm was raging pretty heavily at that point. Huge thunderclaps and lightning strikes made it more difficult to get the already scared little boy.
Finally Wilamina trapped the little one and got it inside to hang out with George who was fully vaccinated and clear for big brother duty, which he took to happily! (Thank you, George!)

Now vet-checked and good to go, little Storm is Buckwheat’s new friend and a welcome addition to The House of Wormwood’s Catterie Collection! Wilamina looks forward to having an energetic Storm in the house!
